Peyton Mitchell Myrick

Peyton is here!  June 1, 2013 just a few hours after Aunt Jen had baby Noah!  We were so excited to wake up at 4am realizing Raschelle's water had broken!  Being that we were scheduled for a repeat   C-section this was very exciting for us!  We were hoping for a more eventful arrival of our newest little member! Needless to say we ran over to the hospital and prepared for Peyton's delivery!  He arrived at 9:09am weighing 8lbs 9oz.  He was 20in long and cute as a button!  We are so blessed with another healthy, beautiful baby and are excited to share him with you!!!

Ella seemed excited about her little brother, but has since become the fiesty jealou little toddler we anticipated!  Hopefully things settle down here and we can get into a more comfy routine that makes her feel better!

Life Is Beautiful

The past few weeks have been quiet as we prepare for little man to get here!  As we are waiting, we are realizing how incredibly blessed we are.  And how much we have.  How much we should be thankful for!  This song always reminds me of how incredibly beautiful my life is.  My husband, my daughter, my son.  My parents, my siblings.  My inlaws. My nieces, nephews.  Grandparents, aunts, uncles.  The list could go on and on.  This list would not be complete without recognizing the One who has created and given it all to us!  Sometimes its important to stop and thank God for everything He has blessed us with.  So, as we anticipate next weeks little delivery (little man), we wanted to stop and thank Him for all the beautiful things in our life!  These are the things that make us feel alive!  These are the times that make us realize....life is beautiful!

Little Man Love

Last weekend my family and friends threw little man a beautiful little shower!  We were so blessed to receive so many nice gifts!  A special thank you to my sister in law Kelly Adkisson for hosting it!  We know most of you know his name already, but I still blurred it out on a few pictures!  We'd like to keep some surprises until he comes!

Little Man, 32 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to see our Little Man in action!  At 32 weeks, Raschelle's doctor wanted a growth ultrasound!  This ultrasound was unusually cool!  Said baby, we are keeping his name private until birth, was extremly active!  He was rolling and punching and kicking!  He stuck his tongue out a few times, puckered his lips and we had the joy of watching him take a few practice breaths!  Babies dont have to breathe until they are born because they receive their oxygen thru mommies placenta....so to witness a few breaths is pretty spectacular!  He swallowed a few times too!
He is weighing in at 3lbs and 4oz, which is perfect for his growth!  We didnt see the massive Myrick forehead that Ella was blessed with, and he has mommies big ol' chubby cheeks!  Raschelle's blood pressure has been fabulous this pregnancy and the doctors said they are pretty certain that delivery will be around 39 weeks.  She has to have a repeat c-section unless something miraculous happens!  So we are looking to have little man here at the end of May begining of June! But, babies come when they are ready, so we are patiently awaiting!

Here are two pictures!  They arent too clear, but little man was a bit too low to get a good picture of his face!

Look at that sweet chubby face!!!  He opened his eyes a few times and blinked!

He looks like he is blowing bubbles but that is the umbilical cord! Love his little nose!

Easter 2013

This year Grammy and Grampa came over and spent Saturday and then Sunday morning with us.  We headed out to the beach and had a fabulous time in the sun and sand!  Then ate at Frenchy's on the beach!  Mom and dad spent the rest of the afternoon helping us prep for Little Man's arrival.  They built shelves, rearranged furniture, folded clothes, hung pictures, painted, fixed the shower....all kinds of things to help us out!  And we are incredibly thankful for all they did!  Especially Raschelle's tired body!!! Little Man is only 10 weeks away from arriving!  We are so excited to meet him and see what difference he will make in our lives!

Easter morning we gave Ella a little basket and then headed to church for an amazing worship service and message!

  Family pictures on the balcony!

After church we said goodbye to Grammy and Grampa and headed to the Myrick Annual Easter picnic!
Ella loved the Easter egg hunt and finding all the surprises in her eggs!

Meemaw and Peepaw always know how to spoil our little girl! (note the mouth full of jelly beans)
