I am sitting here at he computer and my lamp shade in the living room is swaying back and forth as the wind takes it on a journey. I have all the windows in the house open and the air is crisp and fresh. The smell of fresh cut grass is consuming my senses and the sound of the lawnmower giving me a safe sense of peace. Ryans been mowing our dead lawn and cleaning out the garage, and I am simmering a hot pot of potato soup. Its cold outside, but so warm in my heart today.
Its funny how your senses can bring back memories of so many happy days. The smell of dad cutting the lawn, or the cleanness of fresh air filling the house as mom cleaned with the windows open. The sounds of the lawnmower in the distant while Rebecca and Jenny and I played P.A.D.. I have our worship music playing in the back ground of this day, helping me remember who gave me all these freedoms and blessings.
Today I wanted to just take it all in. All that Ive been blessed with and the life that God has so freely given to me to enjoy. I think sometimes I get caught up in the emotions and feelings of life and the planning and completing, that I forget to stop and remember where I came from, what Ive been given and the joy that so often consumes me inside.
The Lord has truly blessed me in the past 6 months, as well as the 28 years of my life, but as I get older, the reality of how good my life has been becomes more obvious. I start to realize I took for granted how quickly the time with my sisters would go by when we were growing up, and that quickly we'd all be married with kids and our own lives. I took for granted my parents always being in the other room of the house. I took for granted how quickly I would grow up and the hard decision that would have to be made and how I'd work 50 hours a week and have to clean and grocery shop. I took for granted that life would always be easy and I'd never struggle. I thought that the "teen" years would be the only time I was tempted or felt stressed.
BUT....Today I think about how amazing my life is despite all of those things. I have a beautiful family with two amazing sisters, two extremly giving and loving parents. 2 sweet sweet nephews, and 2 beautifully growing nieces. I have 3 brother in laws who walk the way the Lord asks of them and one very kind sister in law. My in laws have welcomed me in as a daughter, and that is just the begining of my incredible family. Grandparents and cousins and aunts and uncles have loved me thru the good times and bad.
Then, there is my husband. We have had our "thick in thin, sickness and health, richer and poorer" moments to say the least. But after the Lord captures your heart and you turn to Him and lean on only Him, life can only get better. We have fallen back in love and changed the way we live and are enjoying the benefits of what God can do in our lives.
I feel such a sense of peace today. Knowing that God is good and when I am obedient to Him, he will bless me beyond my wildness imagination!
Today I am reminded that God is in charge of all. He knows all, He is all, and He makes all. He is God alone. I love turning up this song in my car or in the house and worshiping all that God is to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMjMDxPkXkI
Our life is full! We laugh, we hug, we worship and we love! We have two beautiful children that bring us so much joy! Life is beautiful!

Raschelle Got a Job!!!!
http://www.pediatricsurgerycenters.com/Lots has changed for us in the past three months, and as we have literally jumped out into faith that God would guide and provide for us, we patiently awaited a job for Raschelle. After lots of prayer, over 50 applications, and actually turning down another job, she was finally asked to join Pediatric Surgery Centers of Tampa Bay. It was her first week this past week and she really enjoyed it! She is the new "surgery scheduler" for 11 of the pediatric physicians on the team. Talk about a joy to work with infants and toddlers all day long! Lots of smiles and joy!
God is good!

New Years....turned into Halloween!

Kelly seemed to bring out the Pirate in Ryan and I.

After contemplating using our new SeaWorld passes (thanks to Mom and Dad D) for New Years Eve vs. spending the night not spending any money or driving any farther than 20 miles, we decided to spend the evening with The Myricks/ Adkissons! There were lots of festive decorations, but nothing said New Years like dressing up silly and taking silly pictures! We did play SkipBo (Raschelle won!!), Apples to Apples, and Outburst! There was lots of good food and of course, being with our niece and nephew always proves awesome!

The DeGeyter Clan...We tried our best to fit all of our family members into one week this Christmas. So lots of driving, but the truest of blessings to see all of both sides of our families!!
We are blessed to live close to both sets of our parents, and this year the celebrations came to their houses, so we spent well needed time with all of our family!
