Life!

Life is way too busy.  It goes by in the blink of an eye.  I find myself forgetting to do simple things like laundry.  Having two sets of tiny hands grabbing at me in all directions I sometimes forget to even go to the bathroom during the day!

I know a lot of moms would trade their lifestyle for the high end clothes and purses or nights out on the town, or on a fancy courtroom arguing someones innocence.  Maybe some moms would rather be attending to someone in a hospital bed or teaching a room full of students.  Im perfectly fine at home with my two kiddos.  Its a busy life, a tiring life, a very lonely life sometimes, but its the most rewarding, most fullfilling thing I have ever done.

The other day Peyton got really hurt and he snuggled up into my neck and held me as tight as he could.  His big crocodile tears rolled down my shoulder and he cried "mama mama mama".  It erased all the frustration from the three times he got up that night, it covered all the annoying whines I had heard through out the day and it melted me.  That's why I am a mommy.  Because there is nothing better than being who my children need.  And my children being who I need.  They challenge me in ways I never could have imagined.

Im pretty tired.  Peyton will turn 1 on Sunday, and he still doesnt sleep thru the night.  Ella constantly battles me for attention, and we have to be so quiet during the days when Ryan sleeps.  I find myself so beat by the end of the day.  Right now, parenting is 24/7, meaning, all thru the night.  I know a lot of moms get a break when daddy comes home, or the kids go down.  They dont really break, they just have time to do a load of laundry or put away the dishes.  Then maybe read a paragraph in a book or watch 30 min of a favorite tv show.  I dont even get that.  I go to bed when the kids do, because I know Peyton will be up and Ella will probably climb in bed with me and kick me all night.  I am not trying to complain, but it sounds like it huh?  I also see my husband for about an hour a day.  I know, I know, there are mommies out there whose husbands serve our country and are on the front lines countries away.  But, thats where my life is, and sometimes I am sad.  But, then theres the Lord.  I have neglected to invite him in the moments I need him most.  Majority of the time I am complaining to him, or yelling at him for not resting my sons soul/mind and letting him sleep thru the night.

I read this the other day and it changed my way of venting my frustrations......
While I may be exhausted, I am so glad He is on my side and doesnt miss a single sigh.

All that to say,  a year has gone by and Peyton's little life will be celebrated with so much joy!  I cant believe we have this fiesty little love in our life.  He is truly a character!!!  Makes us laugh and cry all at once!  He is almost full time walking!  He has lots of teeth and the curliest hair ever!  He says a few words, and eats like a pig!  He loves to be outside, in the water, and with Ella.  He adores Ella.  He loves blueberries and noodles.  He is really long and has a huge head.

I love this kid!

8 Months!!!

You are a twerp!  A funny, charasmatic, crazy twerp.  You crawl everywhere, climb everything, wrestle with your sister, give big cheesey smiles, squint funny faces at everyone and make life so bright!  You have two huge pearly whites that stick out just like your adorable little ears!  You dont sleep at all and make mommy very tired, but your happiness makes it all worth it! One day you will sleep through the night and Ill miss our late night talks.  You just had your check up and you weighed 17lbs.  You are super long at 27in. Your weight is not so high because you are so long, but your head measured huge, so we know you are super smart :) Keep growing, keep smiling!  You are such an amazing addition to our family!

Still Alive!

Its been a long time since I blogged.  Probably because Im chasing two little ones around the house!  Who has time to sit and type needless information!  Ha.  Plus, thats the benefit of Facebook and Instagram.  Quick snapshots of our life and you pretty much know whats going on!

I cant believe its already half way thru Januray 2014!  This year is going to bring more change for us.  We are going to be moving out of this tiny condo, hopefully into a bigger home or townhome we can rent out.  Prayers welcome as we start looking!  Ella will turn three.  Peyton will turn one!!!!  Time flies!

Until the next big event, and time to spare, here are a few pictures of our little world!  Christmas came and went and we had a blast.  Unfortunately we didnt see much of the DeGeyter side, but we enjoyed ourselves and Ella had a ball!

We did Ella's stockings on Christmas Eve morning, then stayed the night at Rick and Lori's and woke up Christmas morning there!  Christmas Eve party was a blast at Kelly and Jeff's!  Ella just loves hanging out with Jenna and Zach!  Lori made a fabulous Christmas dinner and we spent the day playing with all our new toys!

Grammy and Grampa spent most of their time in Atlanta with baby Laine, but we got in a day with them.  Unforunately they have the pictures on their camera, so that will be later!  They got us tickets to Sea World and we had a blast taking Ella for her first time!  Pics to come!

Overall it was a fabulous holiday season and we are recovering still!  Ella still sings the songs and watches Polar Express!

Little Man

Peyton turned 5 months old and was dedicated at church all in the same week.  Unfortunately, he has been very sick with ear infections, broncitis and thrush.  Needless to say, he had few moments of happy and more of sickly.  But we managed to push thru and get a few good pictures.  We had to skip the celebration party they had at church, which by the way, was beautiful and amazing.  And we ended up in the hallway with the kids during service on Sunday because they were too uncomfortable to be there.  But we made it across the stage without any tears and God knows where our hearts were!

Thank you to our family and friends who love Him and want the same things for him as we do.  First and foremost that he knows and loves our Lord and committs his life to Him!!!

We love you Little Man!

Lions and Tinkers

Halloween came and went,  Thankfully.  This year was quiet and stressful.  Ryan had to work, so I had to dress and drive two little ones to trunk or treat and run after a little Tinker because she didnt understand waiting her turn.  I must say I did have some pretty cute little characters this Halloween.  Ella had talked about being Jessie from Toy Story for weeks, but when we went to buy it, she changed her mind.  She was a beautiful little Tink!  Peyton had a little lion hat that I added a turned around onsie and old pair of pants to!  Then I pinned on a giraffe tail that I cut off a stuffed animal!  (yah, cheap, I know)

I must more enjoy the fall festivals and pumpkin patches over the over stimulation of a toddler high on sugar (not by my doing).  Heres to next year when I will again sort thru their candy and hide it for only me to eat!  ha ha ha

Fall Festival Time!

This past weekend we headed down to Hundsader Farms for their annual Pumpkin Festival!  What a fabulous day!  The weather was amazing, and our Kalil friends came along.  The girls had such a blast and Peyton did so well.  It was a funfilled day filled with so many smiles!
