Two Months Today!
Ella reached the two month mark today! Whew! What a crazy few weeks its been. She is growing up really quickly and yet really slowly! She is still suffering from colic/fussiness/digestive issues and is still kinda sad during her "awake" time....but hopefully we will be turning a corner soon and her cute little self will be more happy!!
I didn't realize how extremly hard motherhood would be. Im exhausted. But, I push thru each day and anticipate it getting easier!
Here are a few pics of our little girl! No new stats, dont go to the doctor till May, so until then.....enjoy!!

Six Weeks and So Sweet!!!
Ella is six weeks old!! We cannot believe it. Yesterday was her "one month" check up...even though she has exceeded one month.
Ella is absolutely beautiful. We dont say that because she is our child and we are bias. She is just beautiful. She weighs 9lbs and 14oz. She is 21 inches long. She is in the 80th percentile for her age. The doctor said she is growing at the exact rate that she should be and we are thankful.
Ella developed acid reflux really badly here in the last two weeks and we are battling it big time. Its actually very sad and hard on us. Her "awake" time consists mostly of her crying. She has very bad gas and heartburn. We are on a cocktail of medicines for her and hope to see improvement soon.
She has already started recognizing us. She knows our voices and finds us quickly when we are talking to her. Unfortunately, with her reflux, she is either crying or sleeping....so we have found it challenging to engage her in the activities we want to help her develope. We have some time in the swing, in her chair, on her play mat and in her crib. We walk with her and show her her home....pictures....nursery....etc. She loves feeling the sun and wind on her face, so we go outside a lot.
We have found two things that sooth her when she is upset. A hairdryer and us singing to her. When she is upset, if we turn the hairdryer on, she quiets very quickly. But she knows when we turn it off, so we have to make sure she is zonked out before we do. We have both made up songs that we sing to her. We lean close to her ears and it sooths her to sleep. Its so sweet!
Ella sleeps really cute. She always has a hand on or near her face. And her lips usually purse together and form the cutest faces. She smiles in her sleep and laughs really cute too. Soon she will smile at us and start all of the milestones we are looking forward to.
Here are a couple of pictures that I know I will get flack for...but I love this little hat and couldn't resist.
